USWNT Beats Brazil to Win Fourth Consecutive SheBelieves Cup

The team has won the tournament six times since its inception in 2016.

The USWNT celebrates its victory over Brazil in the SheBelieves Cup.


Congratulations to the U.S. Women’s National Team! Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Crystal Dunn and their teammates won the SheBelieves Cup on Wednesday night by defeating Brazil 2-1.

The final game in the invitational soccer tournament was held at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. The win marks USWNT’s fourth consecutive SheBelieves Cup victory and the team’s sixth total tournament win since its inception in 2016.

The USWNT official Instagram account shared the exciting news after the victory, along with an epic photo of the team celebrating with their trophy and a spray of confetti in the background.

“FOUR STRAIGHT 🏆🏆🏆🏆,” the team account boasted in the caption.

“I got so much - sorry - SO MUCH inspiration from watching this tournament,” a fan gushed in the comments. “Guts, grace, determination. Heck of a performance, you marvelous humans!”

“AND THEY DESERVED IT,” added another.

“So proud to be America rn,” wrote someone else.

The USWNT account also shared a funny video of Rapinoe dancing with the trophy, a slow motion clip of Mallory Swanson hoisting the award above her head and a clip of Morgan scoring one of the team’s two goals, which earned her Woman of the Match honors.

“Alex Morgan with the best strike of the tournament! What a hit!” one fan congratulated in the comments. “Mallory Pugh presses on defense and scores… team player and deserves MVP!”

Prior to the match’s kickoff, Morgan playfully showed off her game face on IG, which clearly proved to be a good luck charm.
