The day has finally arrived: after a 10-month engagement, Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker have gotten married. Following some social media posts that raised suspicions that the pair had said “I do,” sources confirmed to People that the couple tied the knot over the weekend in Tulum, Mexico.

The High School Musical star began dating Tucker, a 27-year-old pro baseball player, back in November of 2020. They got engaged earlier this year in February, an event that came as somewhat of a surprise for Hudgens.

“I was extremely surprised,” she told People after announcing the engagement. “We had definitely talked about it, but I did not expect it to happen the way that it happened and the moment that it happened. It definitely caught me off guard and I was bawling my eyes out.”

Back in May, the actress sat down with Drew Barrymore and shared that she was somewhat lost where wedding planning was concerned. “Finding a venue is tough. I kind of just want to elope,” she said of her impending nuptials. Though she seemed unsure of plans in the spring, it seems that the pair came to a decision that suited them both.

A photo posted to social media platform X over the weekend initially sparked rumors that the pair had settled on—and followed through with—an early December ceremony in Mexico. In the snap, the 34-year-old wore a gauzy white off-the-shoulder gown, a seemingly perfect fit for a tropical ceremony. We’re looking forward to seeing more photos from what was sure to be a lovely wedding.
