Yumi Nu knows that the best makeup hacks are ones that you discover unintentionally. The 2022 SI Swimsuit Issue cover star shared her latest secret in a funny TikTok on March 2.

“I forget my brown eyeliner at home so I’m using red lip liner instead and b---- I’m gagged🤭🤭,” read the on-screen text. “I think this is my new beauty hack.”

Nu sported fluffy brows and a glossy caramel-pink lip in addition to the subtle eyeliner wing. Her dark, pin-straight hair was tucked behind her ears to reveal dainty and dangly pearl earrings.

The 26-year-old wore the black Reese Top ($75) from The Line by K featuring a mock-neck and cap sleeves.

“beautiful,” one fan piped in the comments.

“cutie,” another chirped.

The video was set to the sound of Nu’s latest single, “Former Life,” which was released the same day as her TikTok.

“new single ❕FORMER LIFE ❕ out today 🌺,” she captioned an announcement post shared with her 148,000 Instagram followers. “Such a special song to make with my bestie @kayhan.mp3 ~ I had to share some clips of the process <3.”

Nu, who is of Japanese and Dutch descent, is also the founder of a size-inclusive and sustainable clothing line called Blueki. The model wore some of her own designs in a Vogue feature last month.

Last April, Nu fulfilled a lifelong dream when she landed the cover of Vogue Japan.

“Japanese culture values being skinny, dainty and small,” Nu explained. “So for me to be on the cover of Vogue Japan meant being seen and being honored by a culture that often makes people with bigger bodies like mine feel invisible.”
