Zendaya Is Bringing Fringe Into Spring 2024 Style

The actress let her natural curls shine in a beautiful, unique Roberto Cavalli gown at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards on March 6.

We’ll be the first to admit we have mixed feelings about fringe. But if fashion queen Zendaya—who has been absolutely nailing her Dune press tour looks with the help of trusty stylist Law Roach—says the 1920s flapper-inspired trend is back, we will gladly be open-minded.

And, the Euphoria actress herself looked magnificent as she attended the Green Carpet Fashion Awards in Los Angeles on March 6 in the most beautiful, unique 2011 Roberto Cavalli gown. The floor-length, flowy, boho chic number pulled from gray, blue and sea green color palettes and featured a plunging neckline, and even lower, open-back style. The star of the show, however was the fun fringe detailing all over the dress.

Roach, who made headlines when he retired from the fashion industry last year, completed the look with lots of silver bracelets and bangles, as well as two arm cuffs that tied in perfectly to the cool vibes of the dress. Zendaya opted for a bare neck, allowing her sharp collarbones to shine, and a super luminous, bronzed yet still simple and subtle glam look.

The 27-year-old’s long dark locks were left in her natural voluminous curls, with a few front pieces neatly twisted and pinned back.

The model chatted with Elle several years ago, after deciding to wear her hair in locs at the 2015 Oscars, and the controversy that came with it.

She shared that the moment was her way of shedding a “positive light” on natural hair, and the “strength and beauty” that comes with locs. The Disney Channel alumna, who stars in upcoming tennis drama film Challengers, also divulged her hair care routine, and her easy, go-to looks.

“I definitely do my little bun [when I’m on the go.] But honestly, often I just let it do whatever it does,” she shared. “I have a job that allows me not to look perfect all the time. I can just go looking the way I look, have my hair just any old type of way.”
