Sixtine.

Headed back home to New York City, 2023 SI Swim rookie Sixtine took the opportunity to share an exclusive travel edition of the popular “what’s in my bag” series. Her go-to carry-on, a Beis shoulder bag, “fits so much” and is thus the perfect complement to a long travel day—fit for holding all the items you could possibly need en route to your final destination.

“There’s a lot in here, I hope you are prepared,” Sixtine teased before diving in. Here are her travel essentials.

Water bottle

Pulling a light blue bottle out of her bag, Sixtine explained that staying hydrated is the key to keeping her skin healthy. She drinks about three Hydro Flasks full of water each day. “Hydration is the most important thing,” she said.

A journal and a pair of headphones are also key entertainment and productivity essentials. Sixtine’s pick is Bose noise-cancelling headphones, “a game-changer” for minimizing noise in-flight. “There could be a baby screaming next to me, [and] I don’t hear them,” she said of their effectiveness. She also brings an extra pair in case the first ones run out of battery.

Snacks

On this particular trip, she opted for Ritz crackers. And though she doesn’t always bring the same thing, her pick is “usually something salty in case my blood pressure drops,” she explained.

Travel Pillow

Flying just got a little bit more comfortable with Sixtine’s inflatable side pillow. With a little bit of air, the velvet-covered pillow provides comfort no matter which seat she finds herself in.

Like Sixtine’s, this inflatable pillow is perfect for any seat on the plane. It features a strap that secures the pillow to your shoulder to keep it from shifting.
