Katie Austin’s Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Fries Are a Must for Your Sunday Tailgate
Football season is upon us, and there’s nothing better than heading to a game day tailgate or curling up on the couch for an afternoon of cheering on your favorite team. Whether you opt to watch IRL or at home, snacks are always of the utmost importance on game days.
Katie Austin, a three-time SI Swimsuit model and certified fitness trainer, has got your back when it comes to “healthified” versions of your favorite tailgate-worthy recipes. Her Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Loaded Fries, which she shared on Instagram on Oct. 18, are the best combo of protein and carbs to satisfy your game day cravings.
Katie Austin’s Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Loaded Fries
Ingredients:
- 1 large potato
- Garlic powder
- Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
- Old Bay Seasoning
- 1 c. shredded rotisserie chicken
- 2 tbsp. buffalo sauce
- 1 c. shredded Mexican cheese
- Ranch dressing
- Green onion
Instructions:
- Peel and slice one large potato into French fry-sized pieces and soak in cold salt water for 15 minutes.
- Pat the slices dry and place on a large baking sheet, then drizzle with olive oil, garlic powder, Lawry’s Seasoned Salt and Old Bay Seasoning.
- Bake at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
- Toss the shredded rotisserie chicken and buffalo sauce together in a bowl, then top the fries with it and sprinkle cheese over top.
- Broil until the cheese melts.
- Drizzle with ranch dressing and green onion and enjoy!
