Katie Austin is kicking off 2023 by encouraging her followers to treat themselves kindly, and we absolutely love her message.

The 2022 SI Swimsuit co-Rookie of the Year shared an Instagram post on Jan. 5 with an important reminder.

“It’s still chapter 1 of 52. You have time. Don’t compare your progress or goals to others. Think what you can ADD to your life, not take away. Think smaller daily habits to implement instead of big changes and do everything out of LOVE for yourself ❤️,” she wrote across the video shared with her 376,000 followers.

The clip showed Austin in a white bikini as she walked outside toward a beautiful waterfront setting backtracked to the song “Kusanagi” by ODESZA.

The certified fitness trainer continued in her caption, “It’s GREAT to set goals, but you don’t need to go to [extremes] or create big restrictions in your lifestyle. Instead, think of what you can ADD into your life, what small daily habits to implement, not take away. And lastly, make sure you’re doing these goals for YOU. Not out of hate or guilt, but out of LOVE for your body.”

Several followers chimed in to the comments section of the 29-year-old’s post to share their thoughts on her approach.

“Beautifully said girl! 👏🏼,” commented one follower, while another person said, “Love this!! Also your trip looked amazzzzing! 😍😍😍.”

“You are such a beautiful woman Katie,” wrote a fan, while one individual piped in to say, “THIS!!!”

Austin and fellow SI Swimsuit models Camille Kostek and Katrina Scott recently offered up their beauty and wellness resolutions for 2023—read more here.
