Kylie Kelce Shares Why She’s Cautious About How She Talks About Her Body in Front of Her Daughters
Jason Kelce often gets praised for being a good dad to his three little girls, Wyatt Elizabeth, Elliotte Ray and Bennett Llewellyn. But, we’re here today to shine some light on and applaud Kylie Kelce, with whom the Eagles center shares his daughters.
The 31-year-old, who works as an event consultant and field hockey coach, appeared on a segment on Good Morning America and opened up about how she approaches body image and conversations about her body with her three young ones.
“I am hyper-aware of how I talk about myself and my body,” she explained. “Not only in front of my daughters but in front of my players. I think it’s important to model that positive body talk about yourself because then they are taking that away from what you’re doing.”
Kylie is partnering with body care brand Dove to share the #KeepHerConfident message, encouraging young girls to stay in sports after research found that 45% of them drop out by age 14 due to low body confidence.
The 30-second campaign will air during the first quarter of the Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 11. Dove and Nike are also launching the Body Confident Sport initiative, a set of free digital tools and resources designed to help coaches build body confidence in 11- to 17-year-old girls.
“As an athlete, field hockey coach and mother to three young girls, I know first-hand how important it is to build the body confidence of girls in sports,” Kelce shared. “Young female athletes should be able to freely express themselves through the sports they love without the pressure of worrying about what they may look like while they play. Sports have so many amazing benefits and I’m so excited to partner with Dove on such an important and special issue to me and my family.”
She and Jason, 36, got married in 2018 and met on dating app Tinder in 2015.
