Lindsey Vonn Proves That She’s Ready to Take on New Challenges in the Gym This Year
Lindsey Vonn may be retired from professional athletics, but she still has some impressive goals when it comes to her fitness routine. The athlete makes movement a priority, whether that be a session in the gym or a variety of outdoor activities (from foilboarding to downhill skiing and everything in between).
Despite numerous knee injuries that ultimately ended her career and have required multiple surgeries, Vonn still has high ambitions when it comes to her physical fitness. She regularly shares content from her sessions in the gym, and we have to say, they have us thoroughly impressed.
But what is perhaps more impressive is her willingness to keep working at it and continue improving, though she is no longer training for her professional alpine skiing career. The 39-year-old’s latest Instagram reel is a testament to that dedication. In the post, she ran through an impressive strength set in her bright blue workout set, which she accompanied with a list of her fitness goals for the year in the caption.
“Goals this year =
1) deeper squats and better range of motion
2) better absorption
3) core strength improvement
4) better mobility
5) bigger cardio capacity + endurance strength
It’s a lot considering my knee but the last two surgeries went really well so let’s see what I can do!” Vonn enthusiastically wrote.
Surgeries and all, we have no doubt that with her impressive determination and strength, she will achieve all of that and more.
