Workout and wellness leader Melissa Wood-Tepperberg is always blessing our timelines with at-home workout moves that incorporate gentle movement. The 2023 SI Swimsuit rookie’s MWH platform shared a set of four toning Pilates moves on Instagram on Friday that we’ll be working into our next routine.

“Ready to sculpt your body with some signature MWH powerhouse Pilates moves? 💪,” the Oct. 27 caption read. “Try these four toning exercises to tighten and tone those muscles while improving flexibility and posture. Are you up for the challenge? #PilatesPower #toneandflex.”

The 40-year-old mom of two demonstrated each of the moves, as follows:

Inner thigh pulses

Begin by laying on your yoga mat on your side, then bring the knee of your top leg down to touch the mat at a 90 degree angle, keeping the other one straight. Lift your bottom leg up and down as high as you can and lower halfway down for 20 pulses.

Inner thigh reaches

Prop yourself up on your mat on your left forearm with your right knee bent. Your right foot should be flat on the mat and the left leg extended. Bending your right arm, draw it and your left leg up together across your body as you hug your body to the outside of your knee. Repeat 20 times.

Pilates leg lifts

Elongate your body on your yoga mat so you’re laying on your left side, propping yourself up on your left arm. Raise your top leg while keeping the bottom one slightly elevated above the mat. Squeeze your core as you raise and lower your top leg for 20 reps. Use optional ankle weights for some added burn.

Clamshells

With an exercise band around your ankles, lay on your left side and prop yourself up on your left arm. With your left knee remaining on the mat, raise your feet up with heels together, toes apart, then squeeze your core muscles as you drop your top leg down and raise back up for 20 pulses.
