When it comes to building an active lifestyle, workout and wellness leader Melissa Wood-Tepperberg not only stresses the importance of daily movement, but likewise of fueling yourself properly. To stress this, in the caption of a recent TikTok clip, the MWH founder wrote, “if you’re not taking in th[e] proper nutrients your [body] needs to thrive - you’re missing the most essential ‘ingredient’ of all.” For her, this means ensuring that she is fueling herself before and after workouts, in particular.

Wood-Tepperberg has favored one nutrient-rich and sustaining go-to snack in recent months for post-workout recovery. The smoothie is “packed with fiber [and] protein to help keep you fuller longer and fuel your body with so much energy,” she wrote in the Instagram post where she shared the recipe. “This one gives you a real boost.”
