Serena Williams Hilariously Reveals One Thing That Takes Up 50% of Her Gym Time

The tennis icon’s admission was super relatable, and fans declared they felt seen.

We all know that part of the time we block out for the gym will be spent in frivolous activity rather than actually lifting weights or hitting the treadmill. Gym time involves that too, of course, but we can’t be expected to maximize all of our time on the mat.

And neither can iconic former professional tennis player Serena Williams. Her incredible record-breaking career proves that she knows her way around a gym (you don’t sustain a world No. 1 ranking for as long as she did without significant time dedicated to building strength). But that doesn’t mean all of her hours in the gym are spent productively.

Williams shared a series of gym selfies to her Instagram on Dec. 26, showing off her strong and toned figure and admitting to the activity that consumes a lot of her gym time. In the snaps, she posed in the mirror in an all black ’fit, featuring leggings and a quarter zip.

“I spend 50% of my time in the gym taking selfies,” she admitted to her 17 million followers. “Trying to get that perfect angle, that angle that makes me look snatched 😫. Well I found that angle so don’t look at me sideways when in person I’m a tad thicccker lol 😂.”

“Relatable 🤷🏾‍♀️,” a follower wrote in the comments. As we said earlier, we have to agree. Gym time entails a lot more than just fitness routines, and we’re glad to see that the talented athlete feels similarly.
