Retirement looks great on tennis GOAT Serena Williams. The 23-time Grand Slam singles champ took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a few serene images along with some inspirational mantras.

The 42-year-old mom of two was photographed on a yoga mat as she stretched, meditated and applied muscle recovery gel from her brand, WILL PERFORM by Serena Williams, to her skin. Williams’s caption featured a series of inspirational mantras, including the following: “I will Rest. I will Recover. I will Recharge. I will Repeat. I will enjoy some time for myself.”

The same day, Williams shared a reel from her mat, in which she noted she was “finding [her] peace.” Several of the Olympic athlete’s 17.1 million followers chimed in to the comments section of both posts to note the importance of her message of rest and relaxation.

“Yeeees! The messaging we all need to hear,” one fan applauded.

“Great affirmations you look great too❤️,” another added.

“Repeating this to myself this week. 🧘🏾‍♀️,” an additional user stated.

“Serena-ty-🩷❤️🩷,” someone else quipped.

Williams, who is also the founder of S by Serena and Serena Ventures, launched her topical pain relief and recovery gel brand in late 2022.

“Recovery has played an integral role in my performance and professional success,” she stated at the time of developing WILL PERFORM by Serena Williams and the importance of rest as an athlete. “It’s a practice that can benefit anyone with an active lifestyle. That belief is what inspired us to develop a line of products that targets your muscles and can be incorporated into your daily self-care routine.”
