Hailee Steinfeld Opens Up About Finding Her Person 5 Months After Marrying Josh Allen

Extra, extra! Read all about it! Hailee Steinfeld is Bustle’s November 2025 cover star, and she’s slaying on the front page in her gorgeous burgundy multi-fabric dress and fur shawl.
In addition to serving looks, Steinfeld sat down with the publication for an exclusive interview in which she gushed about her husband, Josh Allen, along with touching on several other topics. Fresh off her wedding earlier this year, the American actress detailed the exact moment she knew the Buffalo Bills quarterback was the one for her.
“That inner peace that you have, that rock, that solid, consistent part of your life is indescribable,” Steinfeld replied when discussing if her love life influenced her growth as an actress. “I literally thank God every day that I found my person, and it’s the greatest thing in the world. Life makes sense. Everything makes sense. I feel like I am stepping into the version that I’ve always dreamed of being, having so much to do with being with him.”
The early beginnings of Steinfeld and Allen’s romance date back to May 2023, when sources revealed that the pair were hanging out. However, it wasn’t until September 2023 that they had their first PDA moment, making it undeniable that something was going on between them.
In July 2024, the two made it Instagram official when Allen posted a snap of the backside of himself and Steinfeld gazing at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. At first, it was unclear who the brunette was, but Steinfeld's own post from the same location three months prior confirmed it all. This huge step let the online world know they only had eyes for one another. Even so, there was no greater step than Allen getting down on one knee that same year in November.
Two years after they first met in 2023, Steinfeld and Allen tied the knot in May 2025 in California. She recalled the very moment she put on her wedding dress to the publication.
"[I] actually lost my breath. I’ve never felt more like myself and more beautiful,” Steinfeld told Bustle.
Prior to the release of Steinfeld’s front-page cover, she was celebrating spooky season just like every other Halloween lover out there. Steinfeld dressed up as none other than Mary, the character she played in the 2025 critically acclaimed film, Sinners. Her costume referred to the '90s outfit her character wore during the first of two post-credit scenes.
In the Halloween edition of Steinfeld’s Beau Society newsletter, Steinfeld applauded all the Mary costumes she witnessed Sinners fans wearing.
“I’ve seen so many good Mary costumes!!” the 28-year-old wrote. “But an even more niche and specific idea: Mary from the ‘90s! High-waisted jeans, leather jacket, high pony, lollipop (Blow Pop?). Just a thought.”
