Josh Allen Gushes About Wife Hailee Steinfeld After Pregnancy Announcement: ‘She’s My Favorite Teammate’

Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen’s 2025 year was one for the books after the couple exchanged “I dos” in sunny Santa Barbara on May 31. However, 2026 is already primed to be another year filled with milestones for the duo, they revealed on Friday, Dec. 12. Steinfeld is pregnant, she told her Substack, Beau Society, before disclosing the news in a joint Instagram post with the 29-year-old Buffalo Bills quarterback.
Following Allen’s first matchup since the couple broke the news—where the Bills bested the New England Patriots 35-31 in a thrilling comeback on Sunday, Dec. 14—he provided a pair of wholesome sentiments on his next chapter with the 29-year-old Sinners actress.
On the sidelines with CBS Sports, he visibly beamed when talking about his and Steinfeld’s new roles as soon-to-be parents. “I love my wife,” Allen declared. He then added, “She’s my favorite teammate.”
Later, he discussed the announcement again with the media, specifically expressing his gratitude for the outpouring of love they had received since revealing the news. “The love that I’ve received from my teammates and friends, it has been really cool,” Allen exclaimed. “It’s a special moment in my life and my wife’s life.” At the time of publication, there is no disclosed due date for Allen and Steinfeld’s new arrival.
The 2026 year is also already looking optimistic for both Steinfeld’s and Allen's individual careers. Per NFL News, the 8-year NFL player is eyeing another NFL MVP title—rounding out the league's top three candidates (following Week 15) with Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. Allen won the 2024 AP NFL MVP award earlier this year in February.
As for Steinfeld, her latest film, Sinners, is in contention for a plethora of awards in the new year. It notched 17 nominations for the Critics’ Choice Awards, revealed on Dec. 5. Additionally, the Ryan Coogler-directed horror movie also tallied 7 nominations for the 2026 Golden Globes. Both award shows will air in January—the Critics’ Choice Awards on Jan. 4 and the 2026 Golden Globes on Jan. 11.
And the couple never fails to cheer each other on; in fact, it’s something that Allen appreciates in their relationship.
“I mean, to have the support that I do at home, and to have someone that I share similar life interests with and wants in life, it’s an awesome feeling,” the quarterback told Fox Sports in August. “I get to support somebody as much as she supports me.”
