Are Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks Engaged? The Photos That Have People Talking

The long-term couple was spotted on vacation, and it didn’t take long for fans to notice a certain piece of bling.

It’s the summer of Europe trips and proposal rumors, apparently, as Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks join the ranks of rumored engaged celebrity couples. The actor and model—who were first linked in 2019—jetted off on holiday in Ibiza, Spain, to celebrate Hemsworth’s brother’s birthday. Among attendees on Chris Hemsworth’s star-studded trip were Matt Damon, Taika Waititi, Rita Ora and more, according to E! News.

And amid all the celebrating, fans and other celebrity sites began noticing a close detail in photos that came out. As pointed out by gossip brand @Deuxmoi, Brooks was seen with a diamond on her ring finger, and in one photo, she even showed it off by holding her hand up to her face.

Seeing as how private Brooks and Hemsworth have been in their six-year relationship, it would come as no surprise if they got engaged without a public announcement.

This week, Hemsworth did share a photo from the Ibiza trip on Instagram, however, wishing his brother a happy birthday with a snap featuring Chris and his other brother, Luke. “Happy birthday brother Chris! Thanks for always being such a wonderful legend. Never change. I hope I have abs like you when I grow up. Love you,” he playfully wrote in his caption.

Brooks has not shared any glimpses of her Ibiza trip on her Instagram, but considering how private the couple is, that’s not unexpected.

Their relationship history

Hemsworth, who is best known for his role in the Hunger Games movies and is set to replace Henry Cavill in Netflix’s The Witcher, began seeing Brooks, a model, influencer and actress, in 2019. Over the years, they’ve been spotted together on numerous occasions, including Instagram posts from family and friends, and in 2021, they made their official debut as a couple at a charity event.

Brooks has shared a few birthday tributes to Hemsworth on Instagram, and they’ve attended the occasional public event together, but otherwise, they prefer to keep their romance out of the spotlight. In a 2021 interview with Stellar Magazine (per the Daily Mail), the model noted she likes to keep her relationship for herself, and not for the general public.

“My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me,” Brooks stated. “And I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself. I completely understand [the interest in her relationship]. But at the end of the day, I guess I just like having that for me.”

“But he’s great. They [the Hemsworths] are great. They are the most beautiful people and I’m very lucky to know them,” she added.

Of course, if the pair is engaged, it wouldn’t be the first time for Hemsworth. The Lonely Planet actor was in a highly-publicized, on-and-off relationship with Miley Cyrus from 2009 to 2019. They got married in 2018 and finalized their divorce in 2020. The Grammy Award winner is now in a relationship with musician Maxx Morando.
