Sabrina Carpenter Announces New Album in the Most On-Brand Way Possible

The superstar just revealed the release date of her next album, and it’s sooner than you think!

Sabrina Carpenter isn’t planning on slowing down any time soon—at least if her release schedule is any metric to go by.

The pop sensation has been all over our feeds this past week after the release of her already-iconic music video for her new single “Manchild,” which has garnered over 17 million views in just five days at the time of this article’s publication.

But the insta-hit song has already proved to be a sign of bigger things to come, as Carpenter took to social media this afternoon to announce that she has a whole new album coming out in the most on-brand way possible—and its release date is sooner than we could’ve ever anticipated!

Captioning the unexpected announcement, “My new album, ‘Man’s Best Friend’ 🐾 is out on August 29, 2025. i can’t wait for it to be yours x Pre-order now,” Carpenter posed on a tan carpet, positioned on all fours while wearing a black mini dress with a large bow on the hip. She accessorized the look with a silver ring, gold anklelet and matching black platform heels as an unseen...um, let’s go with “gentleman”...in a black suit and dress shoes clutches onto a chunk of her blonde hair.

Her makeup was stunning as usual, with the superstar opting for her signature brand of 1960s Barbarella-esque glamour featuring glowing skin, rosy cheeks, lined eyes and full, pouty lips in a matte nude shade.

The second photo in the two-photo set showed a fluffy golden puppy wearing a baby blue collar with the album’s title “Man’s Best Friend” inscribed in delicate cursive on a circular charm. Honestly, does it get more on-brand for Carpenter than this?! (Answer: no. No, it doesn’t.)

And you better believe many of the superstar’s millions of followers took to the comment section on the Instagram announcement to celebrate the exciting news:

“MOTHER FEEDING HER CHILDREN 🙂‍↕️,” a follower exclaimed.

“NEW ALBUM???!!!! YEEEEEEEES 💃,” another commenter celebrated.

“She’s not working late, she’s working 24/7 cause she’s a singer 😭😍,” one fan added, easily winning my unofficial award for best comment of the day.

As noted above, this new album will be released on August 29 of this year—nearly one year to the day after her Grammy-winning album Short n’ Sweet was released (August 23, 2024), and it’s already available for pre-order right now.

Needless to say, we'll be waiting (im)patiently for what is sure to be another banger album from the artist, and—if nothing else—this should be confirmation that Carpenter wasn’t joking when she sang about being a “Busy Woman.”
