In late August, Sabrina Carpenter released her latest studio album, Man’s Best Friend. In less than two weeks, per NPR, “all 12 of its songs [hit] the Hot 100’s Top 40.” The 26-year-old also secured a trio of VMAs to start September, taking home the awards for Best Pop Artist, Best Album (Short n’ Sweet) and Best Visual Effects (“Manchild”).

And the pop sensation is showing no signs of slowing down. Get ready to see Carpenter on your TV screens again, as she hosts and performs during the third week of NBC’s Saturday Night Live Season 51 on October 18th.

Carpenter posted the news to Instagram, and fans are already buzzing with excitement about her return to the renowned late-night series. The Tears singer most recently joined the program for its SNL50 anniversary special back in February, where she performed a duet with Paul Simon and starred in a sketch alongside Pedro Pascal and Bad Bunny.

“I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!” A commenter cheered.

“This is going to be iconic 💖,” one fan exclaimed.

“Okay I’m sat,” another user penned.

But this isn’t the only feat from Carpenter that has fans excited. This week, Disney+ announced that it’s reviving the beloved Muppet Show—with the pop star at the forefront of its 2026 debut.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the program’s revival will begin with a special aligning with the 1976 show’s 50th anniversary. It will be executively produced by Carpenter, alongside The Studio creator Seth Rogan—whose Apple TV+ series notched 13 Emmy awards on Sunday.

And perhaps there are even more adventures on the horizon for the two-time Grammy Award winner, who has taken the music industry by storm.

Carpenter’s fanbase has recently been manifesting a big-screen role for the artist in the next Mamma Mia movie. Its original leading lady, Amanda Seyfried, gave the rumors her stamp of approval. “If Sabrina Carpenter wants to play my daughter, I’ll make it happen. It’s fine. I’m a big fan,” the actress told ABC News.

The rumors also made it to franchise creator Judy Cramer’s ears in May. She told Deadline Carpenter would “be a goddess or some relation who would look very much like Meryl Streep.”

The publication reported that there is also a script for the third film, but no clear timeline for its release quite yet.
