Taylor Swift Shares Reaction to First Seeing Ring Travis Kelce Picked Out—and It’s Adorable

Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, has been unleashed upon the world—and fans already can’t get enough.
The synth-y, sultry pop record is filled to the brim with love songs and dance tunes—and a few very risqué numbers—with many lyrics pointing directly at Swift’s newly-minted fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
With a new album release comes a new album promotion tour, and the record-breaking Grammy-winning artist certainly pulled out all of the stops for this one. Over the course of the next few days, Swift will be taking to various radio shows and stopping by a few late-night sets for interviews where she’ll be chatting about the new album and her engagement—in fact, she’s already done a few this morning!
Swift appeared on Heart Breakfast today for a sit-down with UK show’s hosts Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton, where she opened up about the story behind her engagement, and also revealed one specific thing Kelce got very right: that breathtaking ring.
Wearing an on-theme orange sweater with her signature blonde hair in casual waves, Swift was all smiles for the early morning interview. During the spirited chat, she was in the middle of sharing a bit about her Eras Tour experience, energetically moving her hands around, when Theakston excitedly noted that he got a glimpse of her engagement ring. Swift showed it off, and then the host asked if it was true that Kelce designed the piece himself, which Swift confirmed with an enthusiastic, “He did, he did!”
“He designed it with this amazing jeweler—Kindred Lubeck is her name—and she does all of her gold engraving by hand,” the singer gushed. “I just thought her stuff was so cool. I had shown him a video, like, a year and a half ago, and he was just paying attention to everything, it turns out. Because when I saw the ring, I was like, ‘I know who made this! I know who made this!’ And also, you listen to me!”
In response, the hosts confirmed Kelce did a fantastic job, to which the Swift sweetly added, “It was like, you really know me. I didn’t know what I would want, but he did somehow—so that’s kind of a flex.”
According to various reports, the piece—which, as Swift noted, was designed by Kelce and Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry—has been valued at around $550,000. Needless to say, that level of sparkle is precisely the type of piece expected for someone living the “showgirl” life, and it fits Swift perfectly as her “showgirl” era merges with her “fiancée” era!
