2023 SI Swim Rookie Mady Dewey’s Favorite Sunglasses Style
Swim Search open casting call winner Mady Dewey is always on the go. As a tech entrepreneur who lives in sunny California and swears by her hot girl walks, a solid pair of sunglasses is crucial to her year-round wardrobe.
The 2023 rookie, who is the head of product marketing at startup Try Your Best, opened up about her favorite sunglasses brand and styles during Miami Swim week in July.
“I have always been a Ray-Ban fan. I just think that they have classic styles but they also have a bunch of new things coming out,” she tells SI Swimsuit. “I got these really cool ones that are metallic and small frame. [I] generally love a small frame on my face, and something a little bit more oval or a little bit more angular.”
The model, who was photographed by Ben Watts in Puerto Rico for this year’s magazine, admits that she’ll wear a pricey, high-quality pair of sunglasses for full-day or formal events, but for a casual pool day, she opts for a cheaper option.
“What’s nice is I will always have a pair of nicer glasses that I wear when I’m driving or when I need the sun protection,” Dewey explained. “But then when I’m going to the pool, I’ll just find a [pair on] Amazon—because I will lose them.”
