John Wick once infamously killed a man using only a pencil—but all Ana de Armas needed to kill this red carpet look was a purple gown, so yeah...checkmate, Jonathan.

In case you hadn’t heard, the 37-year-old actress, best known for her roles in blockbuster films like Blade Runner 2049, Knives Out and No Time to Die, is starring in the upcoming John Wick spin-off film Ballerina. The film just had its premiere in Hollywood, Calif., ahead of its release this weekend, and de Armas came ready to slay—literally on-screen, figuratively off-screen, of course.

In a video clip posted to Instagram by the film’s official account, which was captioned, “Ana de Armas is locked and loaded on the black carpet. From the World of Wick: #BallerinaMovie in theaters this weekend,” the actress looked positively perfect in purple.

The lovely lilac gown all but melted to her body, dripping down her form before pooling into a small train on the floor. The neckline was draped in a cowl style, featuring deep cuts on the sides under the arms for an extra glimpse of skin. And speaking of “skin,” the open back was equally stunning, mimicking the cowl front but with criss-cross detailing to hold everything together. The gown also featured a truly unique embossed pattern throughout, adding an extra edge to an already breathtaking outfit.

The actress’s long brunette hair was left down, with her tresses falling in relaxed curls down her back. Her makeup look was equal parts neutral and natural, showcasing matte skin, blended eyeshadow, long eyelashes and a glossy pop of pink on her pout. She further accessorized the look with a thick silver bangle, a massive ring and a pair of sparkling, dangling earrings.

As mentioned above, Ballerina is a spin-off film (okay, pausing for a second: I feel like there’s definitely a “ballerina” and “spin” pun here that I’m missing, so please forgive me. Anyway, back to the article) taking place in the world of John Wick.

Occurring simultaneously with the events of the third John Wick film, de Armas will be starring as Eve Macarro—a woman just beginning her journey to becoming an assassin in the traditions of the “Ruska Roma,” who are a subsect of the underground crime syndicate in the popular franchise.

The film promises some serious star power, with franchise staples Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane and Anjelica Houston returning to reprise their respective roles while also adding some new faces, including Norman Reedus and Gabriel Byrne.

Be sure to catch Ballerina when it hits theaters June 6!
