Angel Reese’s Latest Tunnel Look Channels the Star’s Signature Barbie Energy

WNBA star Angel Reese has long made headlines for her sensational tunnel style, often rocking beloved designer labels with on-trend, modern twists. Even so, the Atlanta Dream star may have outdone herself earlier this week when she stepped out in a pretty pastel look for the team’s game against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Reese is always pretty in pink
Arriving at the Gateway Center Arena for the Dream’s home game against the Arizona-based franchise, Reese took fans’ breath away in a silky bubblegum set. Complete with a low-rise maxi skirt and ultra-cropped tube top, the plush feather details on the shoulders added an unexpected Old Hollywood edge to her overall Y2K aesthetic.
The forward then accessorized with several sparkling pieces of jewelry, including a wide bangle-style bracelet and glittering earrings, as well as a pair of coordinating pink peep-toe pumps. She wore her long, dark hair up for the look, opting for a glowy, natural glam with a glossy lip. Overall, the star was a pastel daydream, reminding fans that there’s a reason she goes by the nickname “the Bayou Barbie.”
Fans are obsessed with Reese’s stunning style
And we weren’t the only ones looking to move into Reese’s proverbial Barbie dream house! Plenty of the basketball star’s fans and famous friends were happy to let their love of her latest look be known in the comment section on the WNBA’s post about the fashion-forward moment.
“This is the one!!!” Love Island USA Season 8 star Aniya Harvey declared.
“She is so gorgeous,” a fan penned. “SHE IS THE FACE OF THE WNBA!!!!”
“Imagine looking that good and still dropping 23pts 16Reb 😍,” one commenter proclaimed. “Real life Barbie, can do anything 🔥.”
“She’s a Barbie girl we living in her worlddddddd 🩷🩷,” another follower concluded.
Reese celebrates a history-making week in style
While the Dream took home the win in their face-off against the Mercury with a final score of 96-82, that was far from the only exciting moment for Reese this week!
On Thursday, Aug. 6, the Dream announced that the three-time WNBA All-Star would also be playing for Team USA at the 5-on-5 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup alongside her teammate Rhyne Howard. Per a statement shared by the team, the duo will also make franchise history “as the first two Atlanta Dream players to simultaneously represent the United States in a 5-on-5 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup or Olympic Games.”
