Dua Lipa Channels 1970s Glamour in Groovy, Glittering Micro Mini Dress

The pop star dazzled like a disco ball in her latest Instagram post.

A disco queen moment

Dua Lipa just gave Studio 54 energy a 2025 upgrade. The Grammy Award-winning artist shared a new carousel from a glamorous party evening and the vibes were everything: Vegas showgirl meets It-girl pop star off-the-clock.

She stunned in a reimagined version of the iconic 1966 Paco Rabanne chainmail dress—this one decked out in shimmering gold and silver paillettes that reflected the light like a human disco ball.

The dazzling look featured a plunging V-neckline, slim fit and micro-mini hemline that showed off her toned legs. Composed of sculptural mirrored metal discs, the dress proved why Lipa’s high-fashion tour wardrobe is unmatched. It’s retro, sexy and commanding, just like her.

The pose, the glam, the drama

In the cover snap, Lipa posed atop a closed wooden grand piano, one leg kicked straight in the air, arms behind her for balance, mouth slightly open in a sassy smirk. Her body looked sculpted and strong—no surprise for someone who’s recently become co-founder of Frame Fitness. Her yoga-toned abs and long limbs were center stage, glowing under the stage lights.

The glam was equally intentional. She wore her hair pulled back into a slick ponytail (no middle part in sight), and kept her makeup rosy, fresh and dewy with flushed cheeks and a glossy pinky-brown lip. Statement diamond rings glistened on her fingers, while bold Schiaparelli linked gold hoop earrings and Gucci Bamboo Heel strappy stilettos finished off the look with pure luxury.

While some of the snaps brought peak glamour, others showed her lounging on a velvet couch, holding a dirty martini and flashing her signature goofy grin. The blurry photos, candid angles and vintage color palette gave the dump an intimate and undeniably fun feel.

Still ruling every room

Lipa’s groovy mini moment comes at the end of her Radical Optimism tour, which has taken her from Europe to Australia and now through the U.S. She’s also hot off the heels of a Harper’s Bazaar cover and a YSL beauty campaign.
