Dua Lipa Brings Sultry Retro Energy to ‘British Vogue’ Cover, Confirms Callum Turner Engagement

Dua Lipa graces the cover of British Vogue for the fourth time in an outfit that is certainly deserving of a round of applause.
The Albanian singer-songwriter took to her Instagram account today to celebrate this monumental achievement, as well as give her 87.7 million followers a couple of behind the scenes photos showing how she and British Vogue made their vision come to life.
Lipa’s latest cover sees her wearing a light pink bullet bra from Miu Miu, a piece that is paired with a unique star-shaped hat. For this look, she wears her jet black hair down the length of her back with blunt, short bangs. Everything comes together to create a vintage vibe that is a perfect nod to the past while still feeling modern.
And when she wasn’t busy taking show-stopping photos, Lipa sat down with British Vogue to chat about what has her feeling “invincible” as of late. Refreshingly, one of the things that makes her feel on top of the world is getting older, as she is ready to enter her thirties feeling “empowered” and “proud.”
“I turn 30 in August, and I’ve been thinking about it a lot because your 20s are just so tumultuous in the way you think about yourself and your body,” the 29-year-old tells the magazine. “And I don’t know, now I feel like I’ve come to a place—I’ve become better at taking care of myself and working out and dancing. I feel the most confident I’ve ever felt. I feel very empowered and strong in my body. I feel good when I’m sharing my energy with people on stage. There’s just so much of that that makes me really proud of my body and the way it holds me.”
Something else that supports this bright and bold era is the singer’s thriving love life with her partner Callum Turner, with Lipa confirming to the magazine that she and the British actor have taken the next big step in their relationship: they’re officially engaged!
“Yeah, we’re engaged. It’s very exciting,” Lipa gushes. Referring to her gorgeous engagement ring, she continues, saying, “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
While the wedding details are still unfolding as Lipa and Turner remain preoccupied with their respective careers, she admits she’s looking forward to the big day with a sweet sentiment, saying, “This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don’t know, be best friends forever—it’s a really special feeling.”
Alongside embracing aging and being in love, Lipa looks to the future, searching for ways she can help other artists feel equally invincible. She imagines that at least part of her future will consist of working with authors to publish their work.
“I think I’d love to expand Service95 and the book club. I’d love to publish authors. I would love to help produce them into film and TV,” Lipa notes. “How can I be of service, literally, to other artists, whether that be in film, TV, books, music?”
In response to a question about whether or not she can do “all that,” Lipa responds with the perfect answer, saying: “Nothing’s impossible. You’ve just got to get up and do it.”
