Heidi Klum is the queen of Halloween—that’s a fact, not an opinion. For the last two decades, the model and TV host has thrown the most elite Halloween party in the industry and the highly coveted invite is widely-known as a the biggest honor. She takes the holiday extremely seriously and she rarely misses with her well-planned costumes.
Due to COVID-19, the nine-time SI Swimsuit model had to pause on throwing her bash in 2020 and ’21, but that didn’t stop her from celebrating and dressing up. The model made up for lost time by hosting the most epic bash last year last year. View some of our favorite looks from the event here.
The 50-year-old has already begun to tease this year’s party and she shared a spooky promo post to get everyone in the mood on Oct. 5. The short video featured a creepy melody overlayed with someone drawing on a chalkboard. After a bit of fast-motion sketching, shading, erasing and cleaning up, an ashy orange Heidi Klum face appeared on the blackboard.
“👻🕷️🧛🏻♀️🎃🦇🧟♂️💀🕸️🖤,” the mom of four captioned the post she shared with her 11.5 million Instagram followers. She added the hashtags #heidihalloween2023 and #comingsoon, and tagged artist Josh Hernandez.
Klum’s extremely extravagant costumes often require hours of special effects makeup (she has also incorporated prosthetics and additional props in the past). Who knows what she’ll come up with this year?
“It’s going to be extra. It’s going to be really extra. I have had sleepless nights over it, you know me,” she teased last month. “I have to admit, I love it. And then my gut, I feel like it’s going to be good. I don’t want to let my Halloween fans down,” she said. There are so many creative people around the world and I don’t want to let them down.”
The Making the Cut host added that she plans each look a year in advance—and begins percolating ideas for the following Halloween literally on Nov. 1.
In the meantime, here are some of her best looks from the past.
