There’s no denying that Isabela Merced has made 2025 her year.

After starring in hits like The Last of Us and Alien Romulous in 2024, the actress and musician became one of the standout stars of the summer in Superman, where she played fan-favorite character Hawkgirl. And as if that weren’t exciting enough, Merced also released a fun and flirty remix of her song, “Apocalipsis,” complete with a new music video.

But aside from her work on-screen, she’s also been quickly rising in the ranks as a new go-to style superstar for fashion fans thanks to her edgy and adventurous red carpet ensembles—and her latest look featured a big change to her signature style that had fans cheering.

A style switch-up

Earlier this week, the actress attended a Fendi runway show as part of the Spring/Summer 2026 preview during Milan Fashion Week in Italy.

For her evening out, Merced wore a bubblegum pink mini dress in a mod-style, oversized cut with yellow threading through the trim. She kept the accessories to a minimum, allowing the unique piece to shine while opting for only a pair of mismatched geometric earrings and braided brown sandals.

Still, the most standout choice for the celeb’s latest look had to be the fact that she traded in her beloved shag bob hairstyle for a chic and sleek 1960s ‘do. Her shiny dark tresses were slicked back off her face, piled into a ponytail that sat high on her head. Her bangs were curled under for an adorable side swoop moment, while several side strands were left out and laid with gel in a gentle curl on her cheek. Meanwhile, her makeup for the retro glam centered on various pink shades for the cheeks and lips, while her eyes were lined and smudged for a sultry final look.

Fans (and famous friends) react

And with a hair change this stunning, it should come as no surprise that plenty of Meced’s 4.5 million loyal followers—and a few of her famous friends—were happy to drop by her comment section to sing her praises:

“😍😍😍😍,” 2025 SI Swimsuit rookie Denise Bidot simply wrote.

“The people’s princess 👑,” Odeya Rush proclaimed.

“Wowie wow wow,” Allan Avendaño added.

“Come on Barbie, let’s go party 🩷🩷🩷,” Cierra Ramirez joked.

One more glamorous look

But that incredible Priscilla Presley-esque glam moment was only one of the rising style star’s luxe looks for the week-long Italian fashion event!

Merced also sported a fabulous black mini dress for the Fendi boutique opening, which was definitely more in line with the edgy fashion fans have come to expect from the superstar—i.e., a bit of high fashion mixed with a touch of rock n’ roll. The piece featured unique dual zipper details running down the front and a built-in bomber jacket-style shrug.

Her bob made a triumphant return for the more casual outfit, slicked back off her face to show off her marvelously smoky eye makeup and massive Y2K-style gold hoops.
