Maddy Westbeld knows how to make a statement with subtlety—and her latest tunnel ’fit ahead of the Chicago Sky’s July 6 matchup against the Minnesota Lynx was the perfect balance of tailored ease and summery cool.

The 23-year-old WNBA rookie arrived at Target Center in Minneapolis in a light blue pinstripe button-down, worn in a fun, breezy new way. She left the top and bottom undone, fastening just one center button to reveal a tasteful flash of chest and midriff.

She paired the reworked classic with high-waisted, beige-taupe trousers that featured a trendy tapered silhouette, adding an extra corpcore touch to the casual energy of the shirt.

Westbeld, whose sister Kathryn is also in the league, grounded the look with pointed white heels and elevated it further with a beige and brown monogrammed GG canvas Gucci bucket hat. A dainty pendant necklace and a few chunky rings completed the ensemble, while her signature dark brown hair was styled in loose, natural waves.

The fashion moment wasn’t confined to the tunnel, either. The athlete took to Instagram to share the full carousel: along with a few mirror selfies and a professional cover pic of her look, she included snapshots of the meals fueling her game day energy. Among them was a coffee topped with dreamy latte art, a vibrant chia and yogurt bowl drizzled with peanut butter, a colorful fruit bowl and a perfectly plated roasted salmon with tomatoes, cucumbers, onions and a spread of Mediterranean dips.

“good stuff,” the Notre Dame alum captioned the carousel.

“Beautiful,” Dominick Washington commented.

“I know a fruit hates to see you coming,” Elizabeth Williams joked.

“My coffee sistaaaa 🙌☕️,” Bec Allen wrote.

“I love the fit!!!!,” Angel Burley exclaimed.

“so tea hello 😍,” one fan gushed.

“Great stuff even,” Liza Karlen added.

The Sky forward, who was drafted No. 16 overall earlier this year, has quickly become one of the league’s most stylish newcomers. The Ohio native often leans into clean, feminine takes on business dressing—mixing crisp silhouettes with sporty edge and luxe accessories. While this latest look was one of her more laid-back ensembles, it still captured her signature vibe: confident, fresh and undeniably chic.

As for the game, the Sky battled hard against the Lynx but ultimately fell short, losing 80–75. Still, Westbeld and her fellow rookies continue to show growth and grit as they adjust to the pace of professional play.
