Madelaine Petsch Embraces Final Girl Vibes on ‘The Strangers—Chapter 3’ Red Carpet

The final film of ‘The Strangers’ trilogy premieres in theaters on Feb. 6.

Madelaine Petsch has cemented herself as a horror star of the mid-2020s, as her stint with The Strangers franchise approaches its end with the release of The Strangers—Chapter 3.

The 31-year-old actress—who formerly appeared in the CW television series Riverdale from 2017 to 2023—stars as Maya Lucas in the trio of horror films. Its third and final installment hits theaters on Feb. 6.

However, before the world can witness the conclusion of The Strangers trilogy, Petsch attended a screening of all three films in Los Angeles with Lionsgate on Thursday, Jan. 15, and wore a crimson ensemble on-location that fittingly screamed ‘final girl.’

For her red carpet look, Petsch stuck to a two-toned color palette that matched the signage behind her. The actress sported a strappy, satin gown that reached just below her kneecaps and featured a plunging neckline. Then, she paired the solid-colored garment with a pair of black open-toed heels.

The details of her elevated outfit also caught our attention. Petsch’s manicure and pedicure were both perfectly on-theme with their onyx hues, and her glam showcased several rich tones, ranging from her burgundy blush to her dramatic smoky eye. She also tossed her hair into an elegant updo to show off the intersecting straps on her vibrant midi dress.

While viewers will have to wait three more weeks until Petsch’s latest film debuts in theaters, she has provided a couple of clues as to what's on the horizon for The Strangers—Chapter 3.

In a September interview with Variety, its leading lady explained that the film “takes a turn into territory I never thought a horror movie could go.” She continued, “It plays with a magnetism that you wouldn’t expect, and it becomes almost a question of who really is the antagonist of this film?”

In a trailer posted to the film’s official Instagram account—with Lionsgate and Lionsgate Horror—fans headed to the comment section to express their enthusiasm for the upcoming release.

“The line will be drawn here 😍🔥,” one user penned.

“I’m sat and prepared,” another commented chimed in.

“So excited!!!🔥🔥🔥,” a fan added.

And if you need a quick refresher on its previous installments, The Strangers—Chapter 2 made its theater debut on Sept. 26, roughly 16 months after its inaugural film, The Strangers: Chapter 1, on May 17, 2024.
