Megan Thee Stallion Celebrates Boyfriend Klay Thompson’s Birthday in Style
In December, we deemed Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson our “fave new couple” of 2025, and the sentiment hasn’t changed as 2026 gets into full swing. The 30-year-old Grammy Award winner and the 36-year-old Dallas Mavericks guard are as adorable as ever as they celebrated Thompson’s birthday together with a seaside vacation this weekend.
One day after Thompson’s birthday on Feb.8, Megan shared a sneak peek of the coastal celebration on Instagram. In the Feb. 9 reel, set to JAY-Z’s “Excuse Me Miss,” the pair strolled hand in hand on the beach before stopping for a few snacks by the shore. The 54-second video concluded with a clip of the five-time NBA All-Star jumping into the waves, though their specific location was undisclosed.
“The first half of KLAY DAY,” Megan wrote in the post’s caption with a blue heart and anchor emoji. “Happy Birthday to my babyyyyy I can’t wait for you to see your next surprise 👨🏽✈️.” Fans swooned over the couple in the artist’s comment section, while also complimenting her sleek, spotted outfit. Megan wore a plunging halter-neck ivory maxi dress adorned with black polka dots.
“She is perfection! And they’re so cute together,” one user declared.
“OMG THIS DRESS 😍😍😍😍😍😍 happy klay day to all of us!!!!,” another commenter exclaimed.

The couple made their first red carpet appearance together in July, as Thompson joined Megan at the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala. In October, the artist released her latest single, “LOVER GIRL.” That same month, she talked about her relationship, without naming Thompson directly, on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
“I just feel like right now in life, I’m just a little bit more calm and relaxed and more zen and more accepting of love,” she told Hudson during her appearance on the daytime talk show. “I’m receiving love way better than I ever have in life, which is probably why the man that I have now has come into my life. Because I was ready to have him.”
However, the “Hot Girl Summer” singer later clarified with the fellow Grammy Award winner, “I’m still doing hot girl stuff,” she added, “But I love him.”
