You’ve heard it over and over—and we’ve said it just as much—red is the color of the season. But even if it hadn’t been declared as much by the powers that be in the fashion world, we all know and love a good red-hued garment or beauty product during the fall months. Whether it’s the cooler weather or the similarly colored leaves that inspire us to incorporate the moodier tone into our outfits and glam, we just can’t get enough of the shade.

Model Kate Bock clearly feels similarly. In a move that she said “might be shocking,” the Canadian has “gone red” with her recent manicure, opting for a deep tone to get her through the first full month of the fall season.

In a TikTok reel that Bock shared over the weekend, she attributed her most recent nail salon pick to SI Swimsuit’s fashion editor, Margot Zamet. “I feel like I’ve adopted a new personality with these nails,” she expressed.

“Inspired by @Margot Zamet,” she captioned the short clip.

In the reel, Bock donned her best athleisure—a monochromatic ‘fit, featuring a cropped white tee and a pair of white sweats—and declared that the red nails “really elevate an outfit,” even her loungewear.

While there are dozens of ways to incorporate the chosen color of the season into your style in the coming weeks and months, the model’s method might just be the easiest. Heading to the salon soon? Follow Bock’s—and Zamet’s—lead and opt for a deep red shade.
