Olivia Rodrigo—the self-proclaimed “spicy pisces” herself—celebrated her birthday last week, and she’s giving her loyal fans a sneak peek behind the scenes with her latest photo drop.

Rodrigo’s birthday bash

The newly turned 23-year-old officially celebrated her latest trip around the sun on Friday, Feb. 20, documenting the festivities with a fun four-photo carousel from her party. In the cover snapshot, the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter donned a sparkling silver tiara and a bright pink feather boa, sporting a striking sequined mini dress that positively screamed Y2K royalty.

For her hair, she parted her long, dark tresses down the center, styling them in soft curls sitting on her shoulders. And for her glam, Rodrigo opted to continue the early 2000s vibes, utilizing a strong pink palette, including rosy cheeks and a glossy lip. Other photos in the set showed the gorgeous array of floral bouquets Rodrigo received as gifts, and a video at the end of the carousel saw the superstar blowing out the candles on her cake as she paused to make a wish (was her wish about the release of OR3? Fans can only hope!).

Still, the expertly curated Y2K feel of her look wasn’t simply a random “vibe”; it was part of the outfit’s history! As eagle-eyed fashion fans likely already know, the 2004 Blumarine mini dress Rodrigo wore on her special day was previously styled by millennial icon Lindsay Lohan at the 2004 MTV Movie Awards. And Lohan herself united millennial and Gen Z fans alike in Rodrigo’s comment section on Instagram, penning under the post, “Love the dress, beautiful! 💕happy birthday! 🎂”

More well wishes for Rodrigo

Naturally, Lohan wasn’t the only famous friend to stop by the birthday girl’s comment section to celebrate her! Plenty of other celebs also popped in to drop a sweet sentiment or two below the stylish photo set.

“My Pisces sister 💐💐💐,” Camila Cabello, who celebrates her own birthday on March 3, wrote.

“Happy birthday Olivia!! 🎂,” Milo Manheim proclaimed.

“Birthday angel!!” Remi Wolf added.

“Princess!!!!” Lara Raj concurred.

What’s next for Rodrigo?

All eyes have been on the singer-songwriter since she officially wrapped up her Guts World Tour last year, with fans hoping her third album would be on the way sooner rather than later. Rodrigo has confirmed the album is in the works, though she hasn’t released any further information, stating in an ad with American Express last October, “Now I’m home, and I’m working on my new album.”

The recording artist has also been known to match her style to her sound, so we’ll have to wait and see if OR3 will incorporate some of the fantastic Y2K aesthetics we’ve seen in her wardrobe recently!
