Earlier this week, we broke down all of the clues Olivia Rodrigo has dropped around the potential release of her highly anticipated third album. And on Thursday, March 19, those “clues” all came to a head as the recording artist revealed she’s British Vogue’s April 2026 cover star, where she opened up about new music, what fans can expect, and also, posed for a gorgeous photo spread in multiple designer looks.

A stylish beachside shoot

For the striking cover snapshot, captured by photographer Laura Jane Coulson, Rodrigo stood atop a black plastic chair on the shoreline at sunset, wearing a sparkling set from Givenchy. In fact, a notation on the Instagram post about the cover stated that the Grammy winner was wearing “all Givenchy” for her shoot.

Comprising a low-cut black bodysuit with an asymmetrical, bejeweled piece layered over top, Rodrigo stared down the camera lens for a stunning final photo. Her hair and makeup were a natural glam, the exact style needed for a day spent on the beach, and her accessories were kept to a minimum, with the artist barefoot on the sandy set.

Other photos featured in the fabulously fashion-forward feature were just as stylish, including snapshots of Rodrigo in a cream-colored military jacket and coordinating bralette top, a fluffy, knitted, oversized sweater and a crinkled pastel pink number—just to name a few.

OR3 will feature plenty of “love songs”

Of course, the incredible cover feature didn’t stop at just breathtaking photos of the star in designer outfits; it also included a wonderful feature story, written by British Vogue’s Amel Mukhtar. In the piece, Rodrigo opened up about her highly anticipated upcoming third album—christened by fans as OR3—which will follow up the mega-popular Sour and Guts.

The artist also shared several new songs with British Vogue, with the piece revealing, “The fan theories were right: these are all love songs, but specifically about the obsession and anxiety of it—or the depression when your lover is gone.” Rodrigo expanded on this, telling the magazine, “I realized all my favourite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them.”

The interviewer particularly enjoyed the final song they listened to, with Rodrigo telling them that it’s “what I think being in love feels like. You’re getting to the core of all of your issues: how you feel about yourself, your insecurities, what makes you joyful. It feels like the most raw form of you, which is so scary and terrifying and uncomfortable, sometimes, but beautiful at times.”

Fans (and famous friends) are ready for OR3

Fans and famous friends of Rodrigo were quick to hop in her comment section to share some love for her cover feature—and also, to share some more fan theories.

“girl give us the album 💖,” Leah Kate penned

“beautiful 🤍🤍🤍🤍,” Laufey added.

“This has to be hinting at OR3,” one user noted, “Everything feels softer + more romantic ❤️”

“the face of a girl who’s ready to announce OR3,” another fan concluded.
