Rae Burrell is officially at the top of our WNBA style radar.

The Los Angeles Sparks guard made her mark at the 2025 All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis with three bold, head-turning looks that cemented her status as both a tunnel walk star and a rising fashion icon.

The former University of Tennessee star kicked things off on July 17 at the official orange carpet event, where she gave Hollywood glam a thrifted twist. Burrell wore low-rise burgundy printed pants with a glossy maroon trench featuring a faux fur collar and matching cuffs.

The Nevada native topped off the look with a daring matching bralette and crisp cream heels. “I actually thrifted these pants a few years ago,” she told The Athletic. “I put it on with the coat and I was like, ‘Oh, perfect.’” The ensemble felt at once vintage and modern—a perfectly executed mix of personal style and All-Star occasion dressing.

The next day, for the STARRY 3-Point Contest and Kia Skills Challenge, Burrell opted for something playful and completely unexpected: a colorful fuzzy striped cardigan, a denim bra and shorts set and knee-high boots with a dramatic denim foldover panel.

As she sat courtside next to Sparks teammate Rickea Jackson, Burrell’s look was pure Y2K magic—eccentric in the best way with just the right dose of attitude.

But she saved one of her edgiest looks for the finale. On July 19, for the Gainbridge Party Powered by Sports Illustrated, Burrell wore a textured black underwire bralette and slouchy, low-rise wide-leg trousers. A black leather Supreme vest added instant edge, along with bedazzled pointed-toe pumps and chunky titanium jewelry. It was sleek, sultry and fashion-forward; the kind of look that wouldn’t feel out of place at Fashion Week.

Fans flooded her Instagram comments with praise, dropping everything from “You ate downnnnn 😍😍😍” and “Fits on POINT 👌🏾✅️💯💛💜💎👑” to “🔥🔥🔥 BADDIE‼️🌹🌹” and “Every outfit ATE 🤏🏾🤏🏾🤏🏾😮‍💨.”

“You gotta play with it a little bit—like it’s not gonna be that first outfit you try on. You gotta keep putting the pieces together,” she said of putting together a newsworthy ensemble. “First outfit might look a little crazy, but you gotta work with it. You gotta trust the process to get to the end. I usually try to pick a certain piece that I know I wanna wear for sure, like maybe some shoes or maybe I know I want to wear this skirt, and then I kind of try and work around that. My stylist Sydney [Bordonaro] helps me with that as well.”

On the court, Burrell is just as dynamic. Drafted ninth overall in 2022 by the Sparks, she battled through injuries early in her professional career but has continued to develop her game, showing flashes of her scoring ability and defensive versatility. Across four seasons in the league, she’s averaged 4.7 points and 1.5 rebounds.
