Sabrina Carpenter Is the Latest Celeb to Embrace Fur for Winter in Fitted Pink Coat

If you’re an avid SI Lifestyle reader, you’ve seen just how much fur has become a seasonal fashion staple during the early weeks of winter.
Sydney Sweeney showcased the fabric as a must-have in her outerwear rotation this fall, and as the chilliest season heads into full swing in the United States, Sabrina Carpenter is the latest celeb to give the style her stamp of approval.
Yesterday, Jan. 4, the two-time Grammy Award winner sported the material in a handful of snaps shared to her 49.6 million Instagram followers—and a few of her famous friends joined her amongst its 20 slides.
The carousel, with ABBA's “Happy New Year” playing in the background, featured Carpenter's slew of candid snaps to kick off the calendar year. While she donned a fringe-adorned mini dress in its cover slide, she showcased a plethora of fur coats in various shades while linking up with Adults actor Owen Thiele, Saturday Night Live cast member Veronika Slowikowska, Anything Goes host Emma Chamberlain and her former Girl Meets World costar Corey Fogelmanis.
In slide three, the “Espresso” singer donned an espresso-colored jacket, paired with a neutral beanie. While on a stroll with Chamberlain in the post’s fifth frame, she swapped the oversized outerwear for a more fitted look by pairing an ivory, fur-trimmed trench coat over a baby blue graphic tee. In both images, the bottom-half of Carpenter's ensemble was cropped from the frame.
However, a particular look that caught our attention was Carpenter's bubblegum pink garment. Posing outside with a snow-covered backdrop, the artist styled a puffer jacket with mauve-colored trim over a solid black top and matching mini skirt. She kept warm with a pair of leather gloves and added some sheer tights to round out the ‘fit, although her footwear was omitted from view.
Fans are clearly swooning over Carpenter’s first post of the new year. While some raved about her winter apparel, others gushed over the candid frames of the artist’s friend group.
“the fits are always so good,” one user penned in the singer’s comment section.
“serving looks everywhereeeeee you go,” another fan agreed.
“Emma being here is everything to me,” a commenter declared, to which another agreed, “Emma and Sabrina just make so much sense.”
Will we see more of the star-studded squad in 2026? We sure hope so! Regardless, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more adventures from Carpenter and her popular posse this winter.
