Kim Kardashian Layers Designer Leather and Fur Pieces for Unique Outfit in Aspen

The mogul stacked multiple textures and fabrics to create one daring ensemble while visiting Colorado this week.

Kim Kardashian is taking layering to the next level with her latest look.

The reality TV star, All’s Fair actress and SKIMS brand co-founder stepped out while in Aspen, Colo., on Thursday, Jan. 1, to kick off 2026 in style. For her night out on the town, Kardashian sported a unique ensemble comprised mostly of leather and fur pieces, visually assuring her fans that she has no plans to slow down her adventurous style streak in the new year.

For the base of the outfit, Kardashian wore a plush-looking tan corset complete with a sweetheart-style neckline. She paired the piece with some striking leather pants from Roberto Cavalli—the very designer brand she worked with to create the Roberto Cavalli x SKIMS collection back in June 2025. The leather pants were crafted in a deep wine shade with intricate braided details running the length of both legs.

From there, the mogul layered on a lush fur coat featuring a mix of warm brown shades, lined with a classic leopard pattern for even more edge. She then topped the look off with a thick fur scarf and a pair of square-toed heels. When it came to styling, she left her dark hair parted down the center, opting for a signature Kardashian glam with matte skin, strong eyebrows, pink cheeks and a glossy lip.

As noted by PEOPLE, Kardashian wore the outfit while out shopping in the ski destination. Among other activities while visiting Colorado, the reality TV star attended Kate Hudson’s New Year’s Eve party, which also saw the stars of Love Thy Nader—sisters Brooks, Mary Holland, Grace Ann and Sarah Jane Nader—in attendance, as well as Bella Hadid, Anya Taylor-Joy and Goldie Hawn, among other famous faces.

For Hudson’s end-of-the-year soirée, Kardashian strayed from the neutral color palette she wore while shopping for a daring black gown featuring a sheer panel on the bodice, a high slit up the skirt and silver detailing throughout. She paired the party-ready piece with distressed black tights, a matching fur wrap and sparkling silver heels.

And these fur-forward looks weren’t the only stylish standouts Kardashian has sported over the last few weeks alone. The star also shared multiple photo sets on Instagram over the course of the holidays showing off her shimmering Christmas Eve ensemble, which featured a vintage silver gown with black fur details from Thierry Mugler’s 1986 collection.

All in all, 2026 is already shaping up to be one of Kardashian’s most adventurous fashion years yet, and we’re only two days in.
