Selena Gomez Debuts Trendy Bangs in New Movie Premiere Pics

The singer-actress appears to be gearing up for her role as musician Linda Ronstadt in an upcoming biopic.

Selena Gomez just debuted her latest haircut and it’s giving us major Alex Russo nostalgia. Both the Wizards of Waverly Place star and her on-screen Disney Channel character are a fan of bangs.

The actress styled her new fringe and long brown locks into loose waves as she attended the Los Angeles premiere of BFF Nicole Peltz’s latest film, Lola, on Feb. 3. The Rare Beauty founder rocked a sweet baby pink satin corset top with a Vivienne Westwood-inspired drop waist silhouette. She paired the low-neck number with black ankle-length slacks and a longline blazer, and accessorized with a small white beaded designer clutch as she posed on the pink carpet at the Regency Bruin Theatre.

We’re not totally sure what the 31-year-old, who is dating music producer Benny Blanco, asked of her hairdresser, but the new fringe is longer on the sides and expertly hits just above her eyebrows in the center when perfectly blown out.

Gomez kept her makeup simple to save the headlines for her hair, and opted for a fresh and dewy base, dark lashes, winged liner, rosy blush and a glossy berry pink lip.

It seems like bangs may be making a comeback, and while Gomez’s decision is (for now) permanent, Keke Palmer, Anne Hathaway and Zendaya have all been spotted out and about testing out trendy bangs recently.

Perhaps Gomez’s new haircut was inspired by her upcoming biopic role as legendary musician Linda Ronstadt. Only time will tell!
