SI Swimsuit Model Haley Kalil Channels Cindy Crawford’s Iconic ’90s Hairstyle

The 2018 SI Swim Search co-winner took her social media followers along on a trip to the hair salon.

Even SI Swimsuit models are envious of one another’s luscious locks sometimes. Haley Kalil took her Instagram followers along with her to the salon in a March 1 Instagram post, in which she shared that she was getting a “’90s haircut.”

The clip showed the 30-year-old model’s hairstylist trimming and curling her hair before snipping her face-framing fringe. The stylist then spritzed the underside of Kalil’s hair with a generous amount of hairspray for volume before working each strand into the perfectly voluminous look.

When the stylist’s work was done, Kalil then swished her hair around for the camera. The end result was very much reminiscent of one-time SI Swimsuit model Cindy Crawford’s famous blowout.

“I will always and forever be OBSESSED with 90s supermodel hair 👏🏻,” the co-winner of the 2018 SI Swim Search wrote in her caption.

“Stunning ✨🦋,” Louisa Warwick gushed in the comments.

“Wait is she Cindy Crawford??” one follower quipped.

“Well, you look a little bit like Cindy Crawford, or Alesandra Ambrosio...” another person chimed in.

While Kalil has great style of her own, she’s been on a kick of emulating famous looks recently. Last month, she recreated Doja Cat’s gem-encrusted Schiaparelli fashion show ensemble. The 27-year-old rapper originally wore the outlandish outfit made up of 30,000 red Swarovski crystals during Paris Fashion Week.

Of her iconic blowout hairstyle being adapted in various ways by different generations over the years, Crawford recently told InStyle that she enjoys seeing the looks she inspired.

“It’s always fun to see trends and styles come back around but updated at the same time,” she shared. “It reminds me of all the things about ’90s style [that] I loved.”
