Sofia Richie Confirms Her Ultimate Style Icon Is None Other Than This Former First Lady of the U.S.

If you have even so much as opened any social media platform over the past year, you have definitely come across the quiet luxury trend and its queen: Sofia Richie.

The media personality and model, who is the daughter of legendary musician Lionel Richie, recently gained more traction after her gorgeous, elegant and minimalistic wedding at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France, when she wed music executive Elliot Grainge in April. The looks leading up to the ceremony and all the glamorous post-wedding outfits were viral on both Instagram and TikTok.

Richie’s style ranges from elevated basics and matching sets to quirky vacation accessories and staple gold jewelry—but no matter what she’s wearing, she looks good and it almost instantly becomes a moment on the fashion side of TikTok. The Los Angeles native describes her outfits as “timeless, elegant [and] graceful.”

The 25-year-old told InStyle that she pulls style inspiration from none other than former First Lady of the United States, Jackie Kennedy. The mom of three was married to President John F. Kennedy, who began his administration in 1961 and served until his assassination in ’63.

“My style has evolved over the years, but day-to-day, I’m pretty consistent,” Richie explained. “I love simple and timeless looks and tend to pull style inspiration from art and music. I gravitate towards pieces that feel effortlessly chic and classic.”

As for her go-to outfit combo, she loves pairing well-fitting jeans with a T-shirt and some Chanel slingbacks. While that may seem like nothing new or special, she knows the power of a good jewelry stack.

“Stacking and layering jewelry—I absolutely love it! It’s so fun to mix and match pieces and create an artistic moment out of various metals, gems and styles,” she said. “I’m often wearing six or seven bracelets and a few necklaces at a time.”
