Taylor Swift is officially in her “showgirl” era. The superstar dropped her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, today (Oct. 3), and she’s already hitting the ground running with press tour stops that feel straight out of a stage spotlight.

Her first stop was the Hits Radio YouTube podcast show. And true to form, she showed up in a look that had Swifties clocking every detail—and frantically searching for dupes before they sell out.

Swift’s ensemble was a masterclass in chic, timeless glam with a little bit of sparkle, much like the tracklist we’ll all have on repeat for the rest of 2025, and probably years to come.

On top, she wore the Lottie Bodysuit Sweater ($368), a sleek ribbed knit with a boat neckline from Cult Gaia. Minimal, elegant, forever wearable. It’s the kind of staple piece that could live happily in any Red or Evermore closets.

The 35-year-old tucked it into Gucci’s Embroidered GG Canvas Mini Skirt ($2,400), a camel-and-brown base made unforgettable with a gradient crystal appliqué at the hem. It’s playful, sparkly and just a little unexpected—very “Bejeweled” and Fearless-coded.

Anchoring the outfit were Fendi’s Arco Hagfish Leather Boots ($1,980). With their tapered toe and metal-engraved logo detail, the shoes grounded the look in pure sophistication. Altogether, the pieces landed just shy of $5,000, a luxe press tour kickoff worthy of the world’s biggest pop star.

A snapshot in time

The singer also opened up about what makes this project feel different from her past work.

“One thing about this album that I think is really exciting is that oftentimes when I make a record, we then take all this time to plan out how we’re going to put it out and make sure that we have vinyl for everybody,” she said on the show this morning. “So, there’s like a lag time between when I made it and when it enters the world [...] With this one, the coolest part is that it is absolutely the place that I still am in my life. The music matches the moment that I’m in.”

Swift called the 12-track record “a complete and total snapshot” of her world right now. For longtime fans, that kind of immediacy feels like opening a diary—except this one comes with tour-ready glitter, guitar riffs, a couple of ballads and maybe even a cheeky nod to her Kansas City chapter and fiancée era.

She and NFL tight end Travis Kelce got engaged last month in a dreamy garden proposal that, of course, broke the internet. The two have been together since fall 2023. As Swift sings in track 8, Wi$h Li$t, all she wanted was “a best friend who I think is hot”—and she certainly got it.
