2024 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season prep begins now for San Diego Wave FC forward Alex Morgan. Just two months after the 2023 league championship, which NJ/NY Gotham FC captured in a hard-fought match against the Seattle Reign, squads are returning to the field and gearing up for the beginning of March, which will bring the official start to league play.

So, like the seasoned veteran she is, the 34-year-old Morgan is back on the pitch and has her head in the game. She shared as much in an Instagram carousel on Jan. 10. The series of photos featured Morgan on the field running drills alongside her teammate Naomi Girma. In the post, the star athlete also included a snap with her fitness coach, Roy Holmes, as well as a sweet photo of her water bottle, which features drawings presumably done by her daughter, Charlie.

“Trust the process🤞,” she simply captioned the series of fierce photos.

“In Alex we trust! US winning gold this summer and you can’t deter my enthusiasm,” a fan, hopeful for a gold medal in the 2024 Olympic games, wrote.

“HARD WORK,” another exclaimed of Morgan’s ethic.

“Good work Alex xx,” one follower said.

“Goat 🐐🫶🏻🔥,” a fan complimented the epic player.

The consensus among her followers was clear: Morgan is an icon, and her fans are pumped to see her back on the field yet again in 2024. And before too long, she will be.
