During the Super Bowl Opening Night press conference in Las Vegas on Monday, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey was asked how wedding planning with fiancé Olivia Culpo is going, and he gladly opened up on the matter.

“Well, she’s done a hell of a job, she’s definitely steering the ship when it comes to anything regarding the wedding as of now,” McCaffrey replied with a smile. “I give my input when needed, but obviously her style is unbelievable, and everything that she wants, I also like, but it’s going really well. I’m so thankful that I have someone like her who’s not just supporting me the way she is but also handling all stuff like that and allowing me to do what I love in the moment while she’s still working on her career, as well.”

McCaffrey, 27, and Culpo, 31, have been together since 2019 and announced their engagement on Instagram last April. The 2020 SI Swimsuit Issue cover model celebrated her upcoming nuptials with an elaborate bachelorette party alongside her closest girlfriends in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico last fall. While they’ve been fairly close-lipped about the date of their wedding, Culpo indicated in a previous Instagram story that the event will take place sometime during the summer months.

“It’s been going really well, and I’m sure you guys will see plenty coming soon,” he additionally teased.

Culpo will no doubt be in the stands at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 11, to cheer on her partner and the rest of the 49ers as they face off against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
