Perhaps the highlight of last night’s 96th annual Academy Awards ceremony was Ryan Gosling’s rousing rendition of “I’m Just Ken.” The 43-year-old actor, who was nominated for his role in the Barbie film, performed the number at the Dolby Theatre to a standing ovation.

And while Gosling’s wife, Eva Mendes, was not in attendance at the Oscars, she certainly cheered on her partner from home. The Ghost Rider actress shared a sweet note of support for her beau on Instagram following his live performance.

“You took Ken all the way to the Oscar’s, RG,” Mendes wrote. “Now come home, we need to put the kids to bed. 💋.”

In the accompanying photograph, the 50-year-old actress donned the pink sparkly suit jacket and black cowboy hat that Gosling wore for his performance. She accessorized her version with hoop earrings and a pair of black sunglasses.

Gosling and Mendes have been linked since 2011 and share two daughters.

“You’re my Barbie 💗,” singer Jessica Simpson gushed of Mendes in the comments section.

“The way he grabbed and kissed your initial necklace was my fave part of his performance 🔥🔥🔥,” one eagle-eyed fan noted of the end of Gosling’s live number.

“His musical performance was the highlight of the show. 🩷🩷🩷,” another fan stated.

“Absolutely brought the house down!” actress-singer Rita Wilson cheered. “Love your love 💕.”

“You two are the COOLEST...truly,” Fatal Attraction star Glenn Close added.

While Gosling was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor award for his work in Barbie, the Oscar went to Robert Downey Jr. for his role in Oppenheimer. The track was also up for Best Original Song, but Billie Eilish took home the honor for “What Was I Made For?” from the Greta Gerwig film.
