Fans Are Convinced Hailee Steinfeld Subtly Revealed the Gender of Baby She’s Expecting With Husband Josh Allen

The award-nominated actress and NFL quarterback announced they were expecting their first child in December 2025.

As Hailee Steinfeld and husband Josh Allen approach parenthood, the Sinners star is opening up to her fanbase about becoming a mom. And in her latest newsletter, Steinfeld addressed the recognition that “our little family is about to grow” in the immediate future.

“ ... The most profound and grounding part of getting ready for this baby has been the introspective side of it: the quiet conversations I’m having with myself almost every day,” the Academy Award nominee wrote in the latest installment of her Beau Society blog. “Sometimes I find myself asking big, lofty questions (what am I going to be like as a mom?) or having vivid daydreams of what our life is about to look like when the three of us are cuddled up in the nursery together. While tuning in, I’ve experienced this surreal, full-body awareness that our world is about to expand in beautiful ways. We’re getting ready to meet someone we already love so much.”

Steinfeld and her Buffalo Bills quarterback spouse initially announced they were expecting via Instagram in a precious joint video post in December 2025. Since then, the pair have remained somewhat tight-lipped about their bundle of joy, and as of press time, have not revealed the child’s gender or due date.

However, fans are speculating that Steinfeld left an Easter egg in the creative for Beau Society’s latest installment, “Issue #73.” In a promo image for her newsletter, the Hawkeye star posed in a white crop top and skirt set with her baby bump on display. In her hands, she held a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers, with blooms of light blue, green, yellow and white.

Several followers popped into the comments section of post to speculate whether the large cluster of blue flowers was supposed to indicate the gender of the power couple’s baby.

“Is it a boy?? The blue flowers ??” one person wrote.

“Omggg is it a boy?! 🩵,” someone else questioned.

“I think she is having a boy the ribbons are blue🦋,” another user pointed out, referencing the bouquet’s blue and champagne-colored strands.

Meanwhile, another follower suggested that perhaps Steinfeld’s custom Prada gown at the 2026 Golden Globes last month was the true Easter egg fans are looking for.

“If we're talking reveal, what about her pinkish/salmon color gown she wore at the golden globes?” Many insinuated she was having a girl. Time will tell. Congratulations!”
