As it turns out, Alix Earle is just like the rest of us: She’s undeniably obsessed with Heated Rivalry.

However, the 25-year-old content creator’s recent TikTok referencing the Crave series left many of her 8.3 followers scratching their heads. Earlier this week, the University of Miami graduate shared a snippet of a “Sisters night out in Paris” alongside her younger sibling Ashtin Earle.

The two, dressed to the nines for Paris Fashion Week, stood in front of the camera with cocktails in hand. Alix wore a black lace tank top and skirt set with pointed-toe heels, while Ashtin opted for a long sleeve black blouse worn open over a bra, paired with a floor-length button-up leather skirt and similar pointed-toe pumps. The clip was set to a voiceover from the television series, in which an a sportscaster announced, “Canada’s Shane Hollander and Russia’s Ilya Rozanov.” The sisters took one another’s hands and clinked their glasses together before the backtrack changed to an uptempo beat and the two shimmed for the camera.

“The Shane to my Ilya @Ashtin Earle,” Alix wrote in her caption, referencing Heated Rivalry’s main characters, two professional hockey players who engage in a decade-long secret romance throughout Season 1.

“In no way would I refer to my sibling as the Shane to my Ilya… 😳,” one of Earle’s fans noted in the comments section.

“Uhhhhhhhh Shane and Ilya are lovers 😬,” someone else pointed out.

“Baby did you watch the show? 🫢,” another user inquired.

“Love to see that even famous people are as obsessed with this show as we are,” read another comment.

Ashtin piped in, noting “alix goes: ‘you’re obviously shane and im obviously ilya,’” which prompted a fan to declare, “I need to understand the thinking because if I’d had to pick I would have said it was the other way around.”

Meanwhile, other fans likened the siblings to Carrie Bradshaw and Charlotte York from Sex and the City, as well as Blair Waldorf and Serena Van der Woodsen of Gossip Girl. And while some may compare the sisters to fictional characters, the unscripted route is more true to their candid personal brands. Alix, Ashtin and the rest of their family are heading to Netflix soon, as the entire crew will star in a reality series on the streaming platform later this year.

While not much is known about the project yet, Earle announced the news earlier this month, and Netflix’s Tudum has shared that “the series will document the real-time messiness of a young woman in transition.”

In teasing the reality show, Earle added, “I share a lot of my life on social media, and people think they know everything there is to know about me and my family, but honestly, there’s still so much more.”
