Genie Bouchard Rocks Ab-Baring Two-Piece Set at Pegasus World Cup
Pro tennis player Genie Bouchard hit the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes over the weekend, and the 28-year-old shared several pics from the Miami-based event on Instagram.
Bouchard wore a two-piece black-and-white gingham set to the Jan. 28 festivities. She chose to wear her open blazer with just a bra top underneath and paired a matching skirt on her bottom half. The 2014 Wimbledon runner-up accessorized with a small quilted Chanel clutch, strappy heels and a pearl necklace. In true horse racing spectator fashion, Bouchard also rocked a black gauzy fascinator headband.
Other pics in the post included a selfie of Bouchard as she stood alongside the horse track, snaps of her posing with friends Camila Coelho and Chanelle Van Nguyen, and several other photos of her outfit. She also offered up a few videos of a live band and clips of the horse race itself.
“Weekend at the races 🐎,” she captioned the post she shared with her 2.3 million IG followers. The two-time SI Swimsuit model also tagged Florida’s Gulfstream Park and Racetrack.
“Preppy but make it Miami 🤣,” commented pro golfer Michelle Wie West, to which Bouchard candidly replied, “exactly what I was going for lol.”
“QT,” piped in cousin Celeste Bouchard, while Van Nguyen wrote, “best timee with u🤩🥲.”
“I love her whole free swinging, free wheeling attitude!” added a fan.
After undergoing surgery in June 2021 for a tear in her shoulder, Bouchard returned to the tennis court last August, when she competed in the Odlum Brown VanOpen in her native Canada. Bouchard also traveled to Dubai in December, where she played in the inaugural World Tennis League tournament.
“I played three months straight from August until November [of 2022], and I didn’t have any issues with my shoulder,” she recently told the Women’s Tennis Association. “After playing a lot, sometimes you’ll get a little bit tight, but it’s very normal and expected. I’m really looking forward to a full 2023 schedule.”
