Jena Sims Reveals Her Go-To Swimsuit Styles: ‘As Little as Possible’

Sims recently discussed what styles she wants to incorporate for the 2025 summer season.

Jena Sims knows a thing or two about having a stylish summer, and the first step is to ensure your swimsuit collection is filled with pieces that grab attention while also making you feel confident.

In an interview with the SI Swimsuit team during the 2025 SI Swimsuit Social Club, the model discussed her favorite swimsuit styles, as well as what trends she’s currently eyeing for the summer.

“You know what I’ve seen that I really love on swimsuits this year is, like, the ones that have flowers. It almost looks like a hairclip between the boobs. I love that,” Sims told the brand. “My go-to is just anything I can hike up to really accentuate my waist. I like to wear as little as possible.”

The 36-year-old first made her mark with the magazine when she strutted her stuff down the Swim Week runway in 2023 while eight months pregnant. She was then named a Swim Search co-winner and went on to make her official debut with her stunning 2024 photo shoot in Mexico. In 2025, she returned to the brand, taking to sunny Bermuda where she was photographed by Ben Watts.

Looking back at her SI Swimsuit journey, Sims shared some advice that she believes is integral for any future rookie looking to dominate their first year. She expressed that the sweet spot is ensuring that every pose is something that goes against what is typically done in a photo shoot.

“I feel like MJ [Day] really loves interesting poses. Like, the photos that make it into the magazine [...] the women are doing amazing things with their arms, or it’s, like, there’s something different. And I think I really worked on that from last year,” Sims noted.

During the SI Swimsuit red carpet for the 2025 launch, Day named Sims the 2024 Rookie of the Year. Now with two SI Swimsuit photo shoots under her belt, Sims is booked and busy—but when she does have some time off, she goes out on swoon-worthy date nights with her husband Brooks Koepka.

“We schedule date nights. And right now, Brooks has Crew, so we’re just really good with time management. I always have been, but I think once you become a parent, you just have to,” Sims replied when asked how she and Koepka keep the romance alive while juggling their respective careers. “You have no choice but to be really good at, like, managing schedules. But yeah, I think you just prioritize.”

She and Koepka first met at the 2015 Masters tournament. From there, the two remained close friends before finally confirming their romance at the 2017 U.S. Open. Koepka then popped the question in March 2021, and the two were married in June 2022.

In July 2023, Sims and Koepka welcomed their first child, Crew. And even though date night remains just between the two lovebirds, Sims noted that she always appreciates the times when Crew can tag along with them to other events.

“Our careers are high up on the priority list, so we respect that about each other and thoroughly enjoy that Crew can come with us,” Sims added. “Like, Crew went to the golf tournament, [and] he’s going to come to Swim Week.”
