John Legend Just Shared the Sweetest Birthday Message for Chrissy Teigen

It was a fittingly cute sentiment for his wife of 10 years.

Chrissy Teigen rang in her 38th birthday yesterday, and we’re sure she celebrated appropriately. The American model and TV personality has had a momentous year, especially in welcoming her youngest daughter and son, which grew her and husband John Legend’s family to six.

While we, of course, want to wish her the happiest and healthiest of birthdays, we know our heartfelt message will be nothing to Legend’s. And, if their relationship wasn’t sweet enough already, his birthday message for her simply could not have been more heartwarming.

Legend’s Instagram post in her honor featured a snap of the ultra-chic pair sitting together aboard a boat, a couple of Teigen posing solo in her most glamorous fashion, and the sweetest photo of the whole family.

“Happy Birthday to my lover, best friend and partner in everything! I’m so grateful you were born,” he expressed in the caption. “So happy that we found each other 17 years ago. So in love with you and the big, beautiful family we’ve built together. Let’s grow old and celebrate so many more birthdays together.”

It was relatively simple, but oh so sweet. We wouldn’t have expected anything less from the poetic singer-songwriter. The pair have been married for a decade now and share four young children. While we’re sure their growing family is subject to just as much chaos as the rest of us, we love seeing these sweet snippets into their relationship and hope Teigen had the best day.
