Kaley Cuoco is expecting her first child, a girl, with her partner, fellow actor Tom Pelphrey. While the happy couple have hit several red carpets together, gone on a babymoon and celebrated with a shower, Cuoco recently opened up to Entertainment Tonight about how the duo are preparing for parenthood.

The Flight Attendant actress candidly shared that she’s not stressing about becoming a mom.

“I have no plan and I’ve read zero books so that’s the type of mom I will be,” she shared.

Cuoco added that she’s typically not a “prepper” by nature: “I’m just not that way. It’s gonna be great, I trust the process. Tom has Googled enough for the both of us. He could probably deliver this baby at this point,” she quipped.

Cuoco initially announced her pregnancy on Instagram last October with a series of sweet photos she shared with her 7.6 million followers. Snaps included pics of the parents-to-be holding up “mama bear” and “papa bear” mugs, as well as a pink icing-filled cake, revealing that the two would be welcoming a baby girl this year.

“💕Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023💕 beyond blessed and over the moon…,” she wrote at the time. “I 💓you @tommypelphrey !!!”

The Big Bang Theory actress also revealed to ET that she’s leaning on her girlfriends and her own mother—Cuoco shared her mom is “absolutely thrilled” to become a grandmother—for guidance and advice.

“I’m just like, ‘It’s gonna be great,’” she said of motherhood. “But that’s how I’ve gone through life.”
