Katie and Denise Austin Dancing on Set of Their ‘Women’s Health’ Magazine Photoshoot Is the Sweetest Thing Ever

Fitness powerhouse duo Denise and Katie Austin just landed a cover story with Women’s Health, and we have been eagerly awaiting behind the scenes content of the mom-and-daughter pair.

It’s finally here, and it’s even better than we imagined. The 66-year-old fitness guru and 30-year-old influencer stunned in a series of blue-and-white swimsuits, sleek activewear and cool windbreaker sets as they glistened under the sun and posed for the magazine’s January/February 2024 issue.

“bts of our @womenshealthmag COVER shoot!!! A 3 day shoot in September turned into a lifetime of memories with my mom🤍,” Austin gushed in a new Instagram post featuring tons of cute content alongside her mom. The two danced on set and clearly enjoyed each other’s company. “To the entire WH team, thank you so much for this opportunity. We are so grateful to be the FIRST EVER mother daughter duo on the cover.. and not just for one month- BUT TWO!! It’s an absolute honor to be your 2024 Jan/Feb cover girls😭.”

Denise built her brand around high-speed cardio workout videos in the 1990s: think colorful leotards, sweatbands, leg warmers, upbeat music and a whole lot of fun from the comfort of your own home.

Katie, who is the creator of her own fitness app and website, is the queen of fitness at-home fitness content, too. She does everything from HIIT classes and Pilates to isolation strength training and yoga. The three-time SI Swimsuit model, who was discovered through the Swim Search open casting call, developed her love for an active and balanced lifestyle from her mother, but has cultivated a brand that’s completely unique to her.

“To my mom, thanks for carving a path for me, yet still letting me be me and grow on my own. This shoot and cover story is so special to do together. It’s something I’ll show my kids, grandkids, and beyond. It’s fun to do cool things in my career.. but 10x more fun with you🤍 @deniseaustin,” she continued. “And thank you alllll for the support!!! This has got to be our second favorite Austin women moment. We will never, ever forget when they walked the runway at Miami Swim Week together in 2022.
