Lindsey Vonn is on the mend. Following multiple surgeries that were required to repair her leg following the athlete’s crash at the Milan Cortina Games on Sunday, Feb. 8, the Alpine ski racer has provided her Instagram fans with another update.

“Thank you so much to everyone who has been sending me flowers and letters and sharks,” Vonn stated in her video before panning to the animal-shaped pillow beneath her head. “ ... It’s been quite a hard few days in the hospital here. I’m finally feeling more like myself but have a long, long week to go. Tomorrow I’ll have another surgery and hopefully that goes well and then I can potentially leave and go back home, at which point I will need another surgery. Still don’t know exactly what that entails yet until I get some better imaging, but that’s kind of where I am right now. I am just in the hospital, very much immobile.”

Vonn went on to share that she’s received a lot of visits from family and friends, and expressed her thanks yet again for the support she’s received from the public. She also shouted out the hospital staff and medical team who have been treating her for her complex tibia fracture.

“I feel very lucky and fortunate to have so many people around me that have really helped me get through this, so I just wanted to say ‘thank you’ and go Team USA,” Vonn added.

She then doubled-down on her gratitude in the caption of her Feb. 13 Instagram post: “Thank you all so much for the love and support ❤️ one step at a time 🙏🏻💪🏻,” Vonn wrote. Plenty of friends, fans and fellow athletes chimed into the comments section to share their well-wishes for a speedy recovery.

“sending good vibes,” fellow Olympic athlete Simone Biles wrote.

“Sending you love and hugs and wish we could be there with you, but please know we think about you all the time❤️,” media personality Tamara Kalinic added.

“Stay Strong LV! Wishing you all the best for the surgery tomorrow 🙏🏻❤️❤️ sending a big hug your way! 🧸,” tennis player Sabine Lisicki cheered.

“Thank you for the update LV. Been thinking about you. Glad you are good hands. Hang in there,” freestyle skier Jonny Moseley stated.

“Thank YOU for being such an inspiration in all aspects of your tenacious journey, both on the slopes, through adversity and recovery ❤️‍🩹 you’re a hero!!🦈❤️🤍💙 sending prayers and strength for a speedy recovery!” a fan remarked.
